28th Division at Army Expo 24 in Carlisle

Army Expo 24 is set for Sept. 14-15 at the Army Heritage Center 950 Soldiers Drive Carlisle, PA 17013. The 28th Infantry Division Association will have a speakers tent with topics on the 80th Anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge, and contemporary operations the division conducted in Qatar, Jordan and Kuwait.
 
Professor of History, Dr. Walter Zapotoczny will have a presentation on the Battle of the Bulge and the division's historic role in the fight. Author Michael Zang will discuss the story of his relative who served in the 28th Infantry Division and was captured with his presentation on Life in a German POW camp. Lt. Col. Amanda Harrah and Chaplain, Maj. David Boyles will present Every Soldier an Ambassador, a presentation covering the divisions recent mission in the middle-east and the importance of relationships in the region.

Each day the presentations will be made at: 11 a.m.- History of the Bulge, 1 p.m. - Life in a German POW Camp and 3 p.m. - Every Soldier an Ambassador.

Army Expo '24 celebrates the U.S. Army's heritage, capabilities today, and the Army of the future. Numerous military vehicles and equipment displays are featured, over 300 reenactors depicting every era of Army history, and an expanded immersive "Futures Room." The program and parking are free and open to the public from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily with an extensive food truck court, musical entertainment, and scheduled programming.
