Even with the Montgomery GI Bill and EAP funds, many Soldiers still lack the financial means to pursue their greater educational goals. The 28th Infantry Division Association Scholarship Fund was established to help bridge the gap and allow our Soldiers access to additional educational opportunities by helping them cover educational expenses such as books, room and board, lab fees, etc.
Four annual $500 scholarships are given on behalf of the Association through the Pennsylvania National Guard Scholarship Awards Program. Applications are available in the spring from the:
Deadline for submission is June 30th. The scholarship is open to all 28th Infantry Division members or the children of members who were either killed in action or permanently disabled while on active duty.
The 28th Infantry Division Association supports memorials honoring the division and assists in their maintenance to the extent possible. The Memorial Fund is a special purpose fund designated for monument projects that are approved by the Executive Council. This includes purchase, restoration, or repairs of monuments that honor the 28th Infantry Division or its regiments. Any monument across the Commonwealth can be seen as a worthy project.
