New Circle of Studies on the Battle of the Bulge (CEBA) Project
The 28th Infantry Division Association is honored to share a newly released podcast film developed by Ralph Kohn as part of new Circle of Studies on the Battle of the Bulge (CEBA) project in Luxembourg.
This powerful short episode brings to life the true story of “little Eddie,” a nearly three-year-old boy who experienced a profound and unexpected encounter with a U.S. soldier from the 80th Division on Christmas Eve 1944 at the Brosius farm near Ettelbruck–Colmar-Berg — in the midst of the Battle of the Bulge.
The story, passed down to Ralph by his late father, Camille Kohn, in the early 1990s, is both emotional and unforgettable. The 28th Infantry Division is prominently featured in the context of this historic event. A remarkable post-war identification of the child adds an especially poignant and personal layer to the narrative.
We encourage all members and friends of the Division to listen and share this story widely — as we continue to preserve and honor the legacy of those who served with courage and compassion.
